Grace's Garden For A True Friend

Today I'm sharing a card inspired by both the photo and the sketch over at Inspired By and the colours over at Hand Stamped Sentiments, which compliment the Inspired By photo perfectly:

As soon as I saw the Inspired By photo, I thought of the 'Grace's Garden' stamp set which is all about country garden florals. Here's the low-down on today's card:

This card was fairly quick for me to create as I had a selection of flowers stamped and diecut in my snippets box that were leftover from a recent class, so I simply got them out and coloured them with my Stampin' Blends, and added them to my Subtles-embossed card base. I heat embossed my sentiment in white, from the 'Strong and Beautiful' stamp set, such a great set for female-related sentiments. This one is a lovely way to let that special friend know how much they mean to you - I think I will pair this one with a surprise treat for one of my besties who I haven't seen in ages just to let her know I'm thinking of her. On that note I'm also linking today's card up with the ladies over at SUO Challenges too where they are 'Celebrating Women' - something that is always worthwhile as far as I'm concerned.

This is so pretty...and your white embossing is just perfect! Those colors are divine! Did you heat emboss first, then dry emboss? I always manage to get strays, even with an embossing buddy! I've been seeing lots of pretty things with this set, I might have to give it another thought! And it's perfect for the Inspired By challenge as well!

Like LeAnne, I'm curious about how you got that perfect embossing - my white embossing is rubbish whatever I use! I've not seen a card using just the flowers from this set and this one is a stunner in all its CAS elegance. Vicky x
