I've had a busy day today with the end of Sale-A-Bration and both of my James Juniors have broken up for the Easter vacation too, so lots going on! I'm sharing a quick card card I made using this week's sketch over at Mojo Monday:
I decided this sketch was perfect to showcase one of my favourite Easter sentiments from the Suite Sayings set - take a look:
I paired my sentiment panel with some layers featuring two of the beautiful floral patterns in the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and some gorgeous Cucumber Crush striped ribbon. I will miss these in-colour ribbons when they retire at the end of May; stocks of in-colour items are already running low, so if you are reading this and still have re-inkers or other 2015-17 in colour items on your wishlist, you should consider ordering them sooner rather than later, since as we all know once the retirement list publishes in a couple of week's time they will be the first things to sell out.
Here is the visual summary of the key products used on today's project for you to pin for easy reference:
You can see all of my 'How To' summaries on my 'How To - Tips and Techniques' Pinterest board in case you've missed any.
A bright and colourful card with minimal supplies, yet the ribbon adds a real touch of luxury.
I'll be back tomorrow with another project. Until then, happy stampin'!

I had a lovely day yesterday in my memory keeping workshop with a lovely group of mums, however was utterly worn out last night! I've had a busy day today however I'm squeezing in a quick post this evening with a sweet card I made this afternoon for a couple of challenges:
I love this week's Mojo Monday sketch and knew immediately what I wanted to do with it; my card today also features one of my favourite new designer series papers - perfect for this week's challenge over at SUO Challenges where this is what they are asking us to use. Here's my card:
Here's the low-down on today's card:
Thank You Beary Much Baby Bear - I was lucky enough to win this coveted Baby Bear stamp in a prize patrol at Onstage in April and whilst I've used her lots and experimented with different colours and techniques, this is the first time I've shared her on my blog. She is a triple-layer stamp and has such wonderfully textured fur, just like an old fashioned traditional teddy bear. I find it easier to stamp the images in reverse to get better alignment - here I've stamped layer 3 in Soft Suede, layer 2 in Soft Suede stamped off once and layer 1 in Crumb Cake stamped off once.
Affectionately Yours - The Affectionately Yours designer series papers are just lovely; the copper embossed papers are very special, however my favourites are the prints that include Night of Navy - they are so different to anything we've had in a while, and I just love the vibrant colours. My choice today was deliberate, both to tie in with my Crumb Cake teddy bear and also because I had a plan for those flowers - read on...
Not Just A Tree Builder Punch - I decided to add a punched flower necklace to my bear, along with a flower pinned to her head (hence her being a female bear) that would echo the print on the paper. I used the little flower on the Tree Builder Punch to create my embellishments - just the right size to pretty up my bear - and I added a few pearls to the centres to complete them.

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
by Joanne James4. June 2016 19:05It's Saturday and the weekend! I've had a hugely productive day today, which has included collecting my brand new car - exciting stuff! I also have all-new products to share today, for my floral card using this week's sketch over at Stamp Ink Paper:
My card today features products from the Affectionately Yours product suite - take a look:
Isn't that just so pretty? (even if I say so myself!) Here's the low-down on today's card:
Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper - Ok, so you know how much I love (and hoard!) paper and I always get excited when there are new ones to choose from - well, this one is gorgeous! Bright pops of colour with Night of Navy and Crumb Cake having a starring role. The best bit though is that the two special sheets are copper embossed - I haven't used either of those on today's card - can't quite bring myself to cut into them yet! - but all in good time, they are too beautiful not to be showcased on a project!
In Love With Love And Affection - I used the Love and Affection stamp set on yesterday's card and I love the bold floral images that co-ordinate with the paper. Here I've stamped the individual elements in Night of Navy onto colours of co-ordinating cardstock and fussy cut them to create the floral bough that frames my sentiment circle.
And Washi Makes Three! - The Affectionately Yours suite also includes a set of co-ordinating washi tapes. After stamping my sentiment, i needed something to balance the flowers around my circle, so I taped some washi to some Whisper White cardstock and snipped a couple of banners. With a thick baker's twine bow in Cucumber Crush it was just what I needed to complete my card. It's quite difficult to tell on today's card, but the spotted one is actually metallic copper - it even made it onto the washi tape!

Stampin' Up! Supplies Used:
by Joanne James18. May 2016 21:31Good evening everyone! I hope you've had a good day; I spent some time this afternoon getting to know a lovely group of young mums and their babies in my Memory Keeping Taster Session and was thrilled to see everyone leave with a completed page. More about that later in the week; today I have a quick sneak peek card for you, featuring a number of products from the new annual catalogue:
I made this card at last month's On Stage event in Telford and it features three new co-ordinating products from the 'Affectionately Yours' product suite:
Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper - Bold and bright DSP with copper embossing on some of the designs.
Love & Affection Stamp Set - A collection of 16 photopolymer stamps including flowers, leaves and sentiments.
Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - This set includes two folders - this card uses one of the designs and as you can see it give a lovely deep impression into the cardstock.
Isn't that pretty? The suite also includes striped ribbon, washi tape, copper metallic thread and copper embossing powder. No product table today as these items can't be purchased until June 1st, but not long to wait now. I do still have a labelled image for you though so that you can pin those all-important details should you wish to CASE this card in the future:
I'll be back tomorrow with a card for this week's new challenge over at Create With Connie and Mary. Until then, happy stampin'!
